A better way forward

In terms of tires, Michelin innovates a lot, including allowing a substantial reduction in fuel consumption (up to -11% for “Energy Technology” and “X-one” tires). The only hitch is: the cost, which may seem high, and the consumer may not be willing to pay it. Michelin has found an innovative solution : to propose the use of the tire and not the direct purchase (adjustment of pressure inflation, advice driving, etc..). It is here a good example of taking into account the expectations of stakeholders: customers do not want to pay high prices, despite proven benefits, the company has to innovate in the services offered!
Thus, the tires live longer (Michelin has devided by three the comsumption of tires), which also reduces its environmental impact!
